Hampstead Heath is a large, old park in North London. Wonderful and magical green space, not far from what's left of ancient woodlands in Highgate. That's where I hide and dream. It's my favorite place in all London. Here I imagine to be a creature of the woods, listening to the trees and meditating. There are still parts of it I haven't explored and only recently a friend took me to Pergola Gardens - a beautiful corner in the northern part of the heath, used now as a venue for weddings and such, but open to the public most days. I love seeing London from Parliament Hill, especially at night, when it shines with million lights and promises. Down there the world is different. But you can always come here to find yourself and remember what really matters. This is where I belong. To the woods. If you're in London you must come to Hampstead Heath. And when you're done reflecting on existence, the biggest and busiest cultural beehive of Europe is just round the corner.
